Hello, I'm Monica D'Anna, founder of Nesso Gifts.

Nesso Gifts is an independent family business based in Oxfordshire, creating handmade gifts with personality, purpose, and a touch of creativity since 2023.

The idea for Nesso Gifts was born from my own personal journey. Living with eczema and asthma, I became increasingly aware of the ingredients used in everyday cosmetic and home fragrance products. I wanted products I felt comfortable using in my own home, without unnecessary chemicals or artificial ingredients. What started as a personal search for better alternatives soon became the foundation of Nesso Gifts.

I've always loved crafting and creating. What began as making products for family and friends quickly grew into something much bigger. Their encouragement inspired me to turn a hobby into a business, with a simple goal: to create beautiful handmade products that my family and I would genuinely use ourselves and be proud to share with others.

What began at the kitchen table with a few handmade creations has grown into a business my family and I are incredibly proud of.

One of my fondest memories is my very first market in Wantage.

The weather was far from ideal. It was windy, raining, and I was absolutely terrified. I had no idea how to put up a gazebo, how to display my products properly, or whether anyone would even stop at my stall. I worried about what customers would think of my creations and what the other stall holders would think of me.

Thankfully, two fellow traders, John and Peter, came to my rescue. They helped me set up my gazebo and gave me the support I needed on a day when I felt completely out of my depth. Their kindness is something I will never forget.

About an hour later, there I was standing behind my table with my voice trembling, asking customers if I could help them choose a soap. The first questions people asked were how the products were made and who had made them. When I explained that I was the person who handcrafted them, customers were genuinely interested and appreciated the knowledge, care, and passion behind each product.

I made a few sales that day, but I gained something even more valuable: confidence.

Over the weeks and months that followed, many of those customers came back. They shared wonderful feedback, recommended Nesso Gifts to friends and family, and became regular supporters. Today, many of them feel like more than customers — they are part of the Nesso Gifts family.

As the business has grown, the values that inspired it from the beginning have remained the same. We carefully choose suppliers who share our commitment to cruelty-free and environmentally conscious practices. Wherever possible, we source materials within the United Kingdom, use eco-friendly packaging, recycle responsibly, and strive to minimise waste throughout our production process.

In 2025, we launched our online store, allowing customers across the UK to discover our handmade creations from the comfort of their homes. While our reach has grown, we have worked hard to maintain the personal touch and customer relationships that helped build the business in the first place.

In 2026, Nesso Gifts entered an exciting new chapter with the introduction of our handmade resin collection. The inspiration came from everyday life. My family and I had grown tired of seeing the same mass-produced accessories available on the high street. We wanted something more unique, colourful, and personal.

Today, our resin collection includes bottle openers, bottle stoppers, hair claws, hair pins, keyrings, coasters, pens, bookmarks, and many other handcrafted pieces. Every design is created with the same passion and creativity that inspired Nesso Gifts from the very beginning.

Whether it's a handmade soap, a bath bomb, a resin hair accessory, or a thoughtful gift for someone special, every item is made with care, attention to detail, and genuine love for the craft.
